JACQUI HAUSER

Founding Consultant & Director

"I'm the founding Consultant & Director of Hauser Recruiting. I've learned a lot through 17 years of experience in the recruitment industry and there has been a lot of change in that time! I've proudly worked for large corporates and boutiques, successfully helping hundreds of clients and candidates in Europe and London, and winning awards along the way.

As a consultant, whilst I'm proud of my tenure and achievements, I believe humility is important to ensure I'm always striving to learn and hone my own skills and character, and encourage those around me to be the best that they can be.

I graduated with a German degree in 2003 and worked for Bloomberg LLP in a Sales Administration role, helping DACH sales teams deliver quality service through administration, and assisting their clients. I enjoyed the feeling of helping customers, and working with my Italian, Spanish, French and Danish colleagues - still some of my best friends to date. I ‘fell’ into recruitment through a friend I met whilst living in Germany during my degree, I never looked back career-wise. I fell in love with helping people find their dream jobs and changing lives through the recruitment profession.  

From 2007-2020, I worked for FTSE 250 recruitment giant Page Group where I received industry-leading training, and worked my way up from Consultant to Business Director level, managing both temp and perm teams for Page Personnel Secretarial & Business Support.

I was proud of the success during this time, and I consistently won awards both for consultant work and management, and attending the High Flyers events for top performers. Whilst I loved to support new consultants with their career journeys, I never lost the passion for filling jobs and helping candidates. I specialised in placing business support roles into financial and professional services firms, a discipline I have a natural affinity to coming from my administration and customer service background.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the opportunity to launch a European division for a boutique consultancy arose and I jumped at the chance.  Working with clients in London who needed help with hiring support staff in Europe, I quickly learned the nuances in each market, at one point recruiting for 12 cities at the same time! It was thrilling to be professionally reconnected to Europe again, and organically things evolved to concentrate on the more specialised markets in Frankfurt, Munich, Hamburg and Berlin, ending my time there as Head of Germany and the Frankfurt specialist. My proudest moment was winning an award for APSCo Deutschland in 2023, and my division was nominated for a second consecutive award in 2024.

In 2024, as my former company grew, I decided the time was right to reset my career and life goals and I set up Hauser Recruiting. I discovered I'd really started to miss having more time for what I'm most passionate about. Hauser Recruiting enables me to put all my efforts into this one mission: to provide the most human, quality service to business support professionals that both elevates them as individuals and their careers, and to give the German market a unique & focused service.

When I started recruiting in Germany, I immediately found that one size does not fit all when it comes to recruitment. The approach needed for hiring an Executive Assistant, for example, in London is vastly different to Frankfurt, and then different again in Munich. It's been my experience that many international firms struggle to source the best business support talent in Germany, and candidates don't have the representation they deserve.  

I value every single experience I've had in my career, and the relationships I've built, and in Germany I have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome & feedback received by the people I've helped. It's always felt like a home away from home, and I'm excited to be able to spend much more time in Frankfurt, and the cities in Germany where my clients need me to be, delivering a really focused recruitment service that isn't overstretched, focuses on the individual and delivers great results every time.”
